There's a lot going on at Lachlan Farm!
Fall Horse Show News...
- CONGRATULATIONS to our year end award winners! We had many riders get new horses this summer, so not as many year end awards as usual, but we still had a lot to be proud of! Our only returning horse/rider combination for the year, Christy Joiner (riding Madison Avenue) is the PHJA Adult Hunter and Equitation CHAMPION! Anna McCracken (riding Avant Garde) is the CAEF RESERVE CHAMPION in Training Jumper while also recieving a 5th place in Beginner Jumper and 3rd place in both Baby Green and Non-Thoroughbred. Several of our riders and horses ended up in the top 10 in the AHJA after just 1 or 2 shows. Other PHJA placings STILL to come!
- CONGRATULATIONS is in order! At the CAEF Finals... Ruby Slippers and Olivia Scales brought home a Champion in Walk/Trot, Reserve Champion in Crossrail Hunter, and 5th place in the Crossrail Equitation Medal! Katy Knutsson and Brown Eyed Girl were Champion in Throughbred Hunter, Reserve Champion in Children's Hunter and 3rd in the 2'6" and 2'9" Hunter Classics and in the Children's Medal. Christy Joiner and Madision Avenue were Champion in both Schooling and Intermediate Jumper and Reserve Champion in Beginning Jumper. Anna McCracken and Avante Garde were Champion in Training Jumper, Reserve Champion in Non-Thoroughbred and 4th in the 2'6" Hunter Classic.
News around the farm...

Our show season has gotten off to a great start! We are really excited about riding hard and bringing home some championships at out upcoming shows!
Summer "A" Circuit...
- Out first "AA" show was fabulous! Christy Joiner was 6th in the Ariat Adult Medal. Molly, Katy, Christy, and Maggie did fabulous in Limit Hunter/Rider. Placing in every class. Jacqui also traveled with us and set some great goals for the fall. It was really rewarding to come in the underdogs, and leave with great ribbons against some GREAT competition.
Spring Shows...
- Madison Avenue and Christy Joiner got off to a great start in the PHJA! They are leading Adult Hunter and Equitation rider!
- Katy Knutsson and Prissy made a great debut in their first ever 3' division. We know that they will continue to excel in the jumpers and hunters this summer and fall.
- Katy also hopped on Holliday (can be seen on our sales page) at the last minute and did awesome in Schooling Hunter against som tough competition. They placed well in each class.
- Anna's horse Toption (also can be seen on the sales page) was Champion in both divisions at his first show and Reserve Campion in both divisions at his second show.
- Maggie Roach and Lego really got their groove at their first show, and are ready to wipe out the competition at the upcoming local schooling and "A" shows.
- Olivia and Shotz had a good start at their first show, placing in Short Stirrup against some tough competition.
- Molly and GQ have also made an impressive start at both PHJA and AHJA shows. They were top in the ribbons at both shows in Pre-Children's.
- Jacqui and Izabella have started their first year of showing together in Long Stirrup. After getting her first show behind her, she came out and placed in most every class at her second show.
- Jenna and Tippy also did well in Pre-Children's. They had only be teamed up for a few weeks and really pulled together some great courses.
- Anna Davidson made an impressive start in the academy classes with Holliday. She gots lots of ribbons and made it through her first show!
