Training At Lachlan Farm, we offer lessons and training for all levels of horses and riders. We specialize in training each horse to fit your personal goals so that your horse is "custom trained" just for you. Anna's past horses in training are now competing in Grand Prix jumping events, qualifying for pony finals, working as schoolmasters in academy settings, and 90% have placed within the top three and ALL have placed in the top 6 in the year end association results without having to attend every show.
Although our trainers work will all kids of horses, Anna specializes in improving horse's flat work (and horse show placings in the hack), polishing children's horses and ponies, problem mares, and improving your jumper.
Lessons We also offer lessons for owners, leasers, and our riding academy riders (non-owners). Our weekly lesson program has been designed to build a strong foundation in each rider, regardless of the level or goal. We also offer private lessons and "mini-lessons" for young riders (2 years through 6 years). We have a full staff of well trained school horses for our non-horse owners.
Sales, Leasing, Shows and Events We maintain several school horses of different levels, until our riders are ready for horse ownership. We also offer reasonably priced sale and lease horses from time to time and are always available to help rider's find just the right horse or pony. We schedule a variety of year-round educational programs and camps that supplement lessons and nurture the rider's horemanship skills and responsibility. We also offer schooling shows at the farm, and attend CAEF, PHJA, GHJA, MHJA, AHJA and USEF horse shows, but showing is not required. Working Student ProgramWe offer a strong working student program that helps riders learn the responsisbility that is involved in horse care. We off work (that includes but is not limited to general horse care, assisting with camps, groom responsibilities, horse training, and beging instruction work) in exchange for services provided by our farm. This is a great way to get involved and help cover the cost of lessons, board, and training. Contact Alyssa Hicks for more information.
